BladeInsight launches new cutting edge solutions to optimize wind blade O&M
BladeInsight, a technology company providing innovative tools to optimize wind turbine blade O&M, announced the release of two new cutting edge solutions for the collection of external and internal blade data, BladeExplorer 3D and BladeTrekker. The company complemented the launch of the new solutions with the announcement of new flexible payment options.
Delivering a full mapping of the three turbine blades in a single rotor stop through an efficient one-person operation, BladeExplorer 3D is the latest generation of autonomous drone technology developed by BladeInsight. With a fully autonomous flight and data capture, BladeExplorer 3D offers best-in-class field productivity, delivering repeatable, high-quality data in a 15 to 25 minute operation.
BladeTrekker complements the company’s product offering with internal blade inspections. With an innovative technology for accurate collection of high-resolution data, BladeTrekker disrupts the industry's status quo with faster, more effective, and safer inspections.
Data collected with BladeExplorer 3D and BladeTrekker is fully integrated with the BladeInsight data-driven platform for data analytics, where stakeholders can consolidate blade data, cross reference internal and external defects, monitor damage evolution over time, and leverage Machine Learning insights to prioritize maintenance efficiently.
In response to market dynamics, and with the goal of facilitating the accessibility to these solutions, BladeInsight is supporting the launches with rental and flexible finance options, enabling easy adoption and scalability to clients.
André Croft de Moura, CEO and Founder of BladeInsight, said “As we develop and shift towards a more holistic approach to blade O&M, we want to provide solutions that deliver value to the whole blade value chain. BladeExplorer 3D and BladeTrekker consolidate our product offering and reinforce BladeInsight’s commitment to optimize wind O&M through digitization, for continuous, comprehensive asset management.”
The new launches add to the company’s existing solutions, which include BladeExplorer, the previous generation of autonomous drone technology for best-in-class image quality, and the O&M software to manage inspections and maintenance operations, delivering visibility and efficiency throughout the full blade lifecycle.
BladeInsight was founded in 2015 with the ambition of developing an innovative technological solution to simplify the inspection of wind turbine blades with autonomous drones, making the operation safer, more cost-effective and with higher quality. Since entering the market with the first autonomous drone inspection solution in 2017, BladeInsight technology has been used in over 22,000 blade inspections in 22 countries.
